Account Deletion (GoldMap.app)

1. How to Request Deletion
You can request account deletion in either of the following ways:
- In app (recommended): Profile / Account Settings / Request Account Deletion.
- Email request: Send a request to support@goldmap.app using the subject line "GoldMap Account Deletion Request".
If you submit by email, we may require account ownership verification before processing.
2. Information to Include
To help us process your request safely, include:
- the account email address (and UID if known);
- a clear statement that you are requesting account deletion; and
- any details needed to verify you own the account.
3. What Happens After You Request Deletion
Your account enters a deletion hold period while your request is processed.
Deletion requests are generally processed within up to sixty (60) days for fraud prevention, user safety incident review, dispute handling, legal compliance, and platform integrity.
During this hold period, your account may be deactivated while deletion is pending.
4. Reactivation During Hold Period
If you sign back in during the hold period, your pending deletion request may be canceled and your account may reactivate.
5. What Data Is Deleted vs. Retained
After deletion processing, we remove account data associated with your app account.
We may retain limited records where required or permitted for legitimate purposes, including legal compliance, fraud prevention, trust and safety, dispute handling, security, and legal defense.
6. If You Cannot Access Your Account
If you cannot log in, request deletion by email at support@goldmap.app. We may ask for additional verification to prevent unauthorized deletion.
